Hi there Can anyone please tell me anywhere in the country where I can go find a second hand Gear Box for my car. My car is a Cedia Mitishibihi 2000 and what Ive been quoted so far is getting on the really ridiculous side now.
I would appreciate any help or replys and Thankyou so much in advance :)

I'll hazard a guess that your gearbox is screaming its head off or some other typical fault for that model. EVERY dismantler in the country knows about the cedia gearbox issues. So if you get one for less than $1500 you can bet your boots its as is where is with no promises as to condition. personally I'd just call the guy down thames way that specialises in rebuilding them. Yep youll pay about $3000 but then the job is done and done properly

Ditch the car. Bite the bullet and move on, if you put another box in it you could be taking on someone else's problem.
I could imagine any 15 year old Cedia is worth all of about two knobs of goat droppings, therefore you're getting yourself into a situation of false economy.

Take your 3k and spend it on something decent and chuck the Cedia in the crusher where it belongs, its already well exceeded the life that its maker expected of it. You get the trans fixed then the various bits of the GDI system will start playing up on you, if it hasn't been already. Once you've spent the same again getting the POS to run properly it will still be worth nothing. This isn't exaggerating sad to say.

Whoa so shattering to hear all you have said but Im not really up with the play with how Cars work in General haha let alone the Cedia. But I definatley appreciate your advice. I guess I just wish Id known this before I bought the car cos I couldve driven the price down before I bought it. or not bought it all lol
