Dash Cam - anyone got one?

Looking at a dash camera to make motoring a little more interesting. Looked up Tom Tom with a view to purchase their top model inclusive of a dash cam, but they don't offer it!
Saw two motorbikes overtake on a corner with a logging truck oncoming! They were caneing it, sounded great, looked dodgy.

I've got an app on the phone that continuously records, I just have to touch the screen to save it permanently, I set mine at 5 minutes but it is adjustable. Records GPS, time, speed etc. I think it also auto saves in a crash but I haven't had the misfortune of testing that feature. It's a free app too so was good value since I only had to buy a horizontal windscreen mount for the phone.

If you buy one, get a model with GPS, as it will record your exact position, speed, time etc.
I have two of them, one is a Navman Mi-vue 388, the other is a DOD LS430W, both are very good, both have GPS .
Had them in trucks, and have got drivers out of sticky, he said- and he said situations, a couple of times. They record everything, and don`t lie, like drivers sometimes do.
Navman have a new touch screen model, out, brilliant, but expensive.

Consumer says the Tom Tom is the best, so was hoping they had one with the dash cam feature - but no.
My Porsche 07 and Hyundai 14 don't have a gps. I normally get lost every time I go to Christchurch. End up in some spot I didn't know existed.

Just ordered a Blackvue DR600GW-HD GPS Wifi 32gb online a few hrs ago from Korea, should have it next week. At nearly 4 hundy, it is not a budget model.
Do some research, some real crappy ones on the market, especially the ones listed here on TM ($20-$60)

No point buying rubbish. Do like the idea of a combo gps and dash cam - or whatever they are called. Coming home had two cyclist riding side by side whom didn't change to single file. Would have been fun to check the vid to see if I know them!

haha, you want to try living here all your life & (within the last 4 years)heading into the city centre. still get occasionally lost & confused with the location.

Ha ha, even with GPS I still get lost, TomTom can not keep up with the roads closed or detours updates in that place.
