Back to the 206. We picked it up last night and paid the loot. Its good now but not perfect. He thinks the hydraulic lifters are worn. Its a weakness with these 2 liter engines (mainly in the 307s). It now goes well but the idle does go up and down a fraction. We can live with it rather than spending $1300 for him to do them. I could do them next Christmas holidays.

Ford kept the solid rear axle for one simple reason. drag racing. the solid rear axle allows bigger rubber and better rear end geometry for club level drag racers.

See above.

Laugh as much as you want, but Mustang and Camaro are head to head rivals and it is comparing apples to apples so to speak, and Ford were way behind the eight ball. Camaro has outsold Mustang every year for the last 5 years in a row and Ford has only gained ground this year by the release of their new model, which is up against Camaros one, now in it's 6th year of production (replacement next year). Yes, Ford has it's new Mustang to crow about and it's high selling Ford F150 truck, but look at Chevrolet offerings and you see who is leading the pack. The 2016 all new Camaro and the fantastic C7 Corvette, not to mention their gorgeous new truck line up. I used to be a Ford fan until I looked properly at each manufacturers offerings and realised Ford seems dull and unexciting.

It happens on a message board, much like anti drifting rants in drifting threads etc. as long as we all keep it civil, we can at least celebrate our differences. Nice pug, even with the faults discovered to date, you still seem to have scored a bargain, hope it serves you well.

I didn't think it was a pro drifting thread particularly and they NEEDED to hear the other side of the argument. I'm almost never un-civil & neither are you ;-) Thanks for your comments on the new ride. You should see the handbrake slides I can pull and being a light, powerful manual I can blast around the back roads at way over the legal limit. but will I? No.

I guess the good news is troggy--you are gonna get to use your treddly a lot more
nearly took some out today dumb arrrrses six of em two abreast on a narrow twisting country road but lucky for them they did have hi vis and red flashing lights so just enough brain cells to live another day. You will be pleased with me I waited until I had good clear road to pass. My redneck pills must be working
whqqsh,

the douche reckons its legal (in Aussie) & safer to ride 2 abreast, good grief, making it legal to make a main road slow down to 20-30 ks shows how insane authorities have become to relinquish an individual from responsibility, courtesy & accountability

Both the engine warning light and the STOP lights on the dash are gone so there is hope.
