If only he had the camera facing the road at the time of the crash, we would have got to see what went on at the time he lost control.

All idiocy aside.

The power of that vehicle is amazing. The acceleration, even at above 300kmph is quite astonishing.

perhaps they could do a take 2. yer-nah. not in that car anyway. No room for error at 300klicks

Not unless you be a Kiwi driver, then ya can sort it all out in a nano second, or quicker even. All while swiggin a DB and txting.
Well thats what a few think i'm sure.

Safest car ever?

I agree. I'm amazed they are both okay (ish) after a crash like that at those speeds. You'd otherwise be expecting spag bol.

And that's just the small-engined Lamborghini, with a mere 600hp.

I was impressed that the dashboard still looked straight and intact even halfway through the crash when the film cut out.

There's an old video with Mika Hakkinen introducing the new McLaren F1, the interviewer asks him how he compares it to the Ferrari F40. He said that they are both extremely fast, but in the F1 you can drive at 200MPH knowing you've got some chance of surviving a crash, because the whole thing is a strong, solid tub of carbon fibre. whereas the F40 is an old-fashioned tube frame covered in plastic panels.

A good buff will fix it! Wonder how big his 'footprint' is with all that burning plastic and shit?

Thank God they weren't doing 101 kmh, otherwise they'd be dead.

No, But they would kill everyone they went past!
