Nonsense in listings

saw a listing today, with a list of faults followed by the comment.
"All easy fixes if your handy."

It seems to me that, in order to KNOW that the faults are 'easy' to repair for a handy person, you would have to know YOURSELF how to fix them . . .
In which case you would fix them yourself to get the maximum price right?

Right.

Nah, sometimes you just can't be bothered

What if you do not have a "handy"?

I've seen these easy fix problems before, ABS lights on, sunroof doesn't open, diffs a bit noisy, big dent in the sill, gearbox a bit crunchy going into 3rd blah blah. As said above how the F would they know? They would only know if they had got a pro estimate for sorting the problem or done the fix before and if that was the case they'd do it. About the only credible thing about it is at least they are bothering to disclose the known issues.

If buyers name is handy it will be an easy fix. but if buyers name is anything but handy don't bother.

My handy is on holiday, how about a lend of yours if you're not using it at present?

. has a small leak in the front windscreen that comes out in the heater, It's not much, been like it for several years so it's ok. Or.
. small patch of rust in both front pillars. It's ok 'cos you can't see them when doors are closed.

Handy Andy, anyone ?

Meh, I find it easier to sell as is rather than waste a weekend fixing little faults. You get get some geezer with more time and enthusiasm than me snap it up and think they got a bargin - perhaps they have.

I agree with tigertim that saying something is an easy fix is a silly comment.
But equally stating known faults is at least being honest.
