Help please!

Would love some pointers on who to go to for help. Last week I flattened the battery (I think) of my primera while charging my ph. It quite often gets a flat battery quickly, however in this case there was still enough charge to get the electric windows up and turn the headlights on. The next day I had some help to jump start the car. Before doing jumpstarting the car the help played with the car alarm (uniden, standard I think) for a good 10 minutes, im not sure why. After doing this the car did not start even with a jump start. I was told it could be starter motor so I had this replaced, but the car still wont start. I have no knowledge in this area and was thinking it might be a possible immobiliser? Im not even sure if this type of alarm has this feature, but up until the possible flat battery my car was running fine. Any ideas on what the problem could be or on the kind of service person I should contact? Sorry for the story. TIA.

Contact an Auto Electrician, it is almost certain the fault will be electrical.

Thank you really appreciate that!

Yes you need to get an Auto sparky, tell them the story. tell them if you want this Alarm/immobiliser at all, is the car insured?, They will check the charging and probably test the battery under load to see how it holds the charge/how old it is. Always get the experts, mates/friends can stuff things up more. Reliability is the key to motoring, servicing is always good.good luck.

Really ? You changed a starter on a comment? Wow, yes go to an Auto Electrician.

is the engine turning over?

it could be bad contacts in the ignition switch, starter relay or immobilizer.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes the car is insured. I will contact a auto electrian Monday , just wanted to check I was getting the right service this time.

No it just clicks once and then nothing. Radio, lights etc still work.

Does it have a immobiliser?

I really don't know. The alarm came with the car so I don't have manuals etc. I have just assumed in my very little knowledge that the alarm may have an immobiliser.
