I want to sell a trailer gifted to me by my father . do I need his drivers license etc when notifying the NZTA ? or can I just put input my own details?

You don't need to do anything.
The NZTA don't check that the person selling a vehicle is the registered person, as they don't link legal title to the vehicle to the registered person.
Just don't release the trailer until you have sighted the printout to show the purchaser has completed the change of registered person.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
