Is this drift kart worth it

whqqsh, Jul 16, 6:06am
be near impossible to build one for that price (especially taking into account labour etc) but how long it would last would be the issue. good price IMO

budgel, Jul 16, 6:49am
The price is right but I would want to inspect & try it out before I parted with any money for it.

Assume Chinese made, which is ok if you look after it. Parts rust easily so keep clean, under shelter, maintain well.
You'd need some mechanical knowledge as things will break but it's so simple it can be fixed, adapted, bodged.
Looks great fun, go for it.
What difference between the two listings and two posts?

richardmayes, Jul 16, 2:51pm
No, one of those things is a complete and unmitigated waste of money.

Would be a lot of fun though. !

I like how they mention it has a "Huasheng eingine for greater performance and long-term reliability" like Huasheng is some kind of household name or a byword for quality.

Jeeze I must be old. all I see in that picture is head injuries, dislocated shoulders, and lots of pain. lol

gman35, Jul 16, 3:06pm
Hmmmm, "high quality" is different to possibly just "good value for the price" in my (bicycle) industry.

A customer of mine over here in Oz has two exactly the same as this. They are absolute junk, and I am constantly repairing them.

morrisman1, Jul 16, 4:59pm
I would expect it to be junk. they don't mass produce these things to last.

solarboy, Jul 16, 10:02pm
That's not a bit more though, it's a lot more, like 9 or 10 times as much.

After having built karts for a number of years for commercial and domestic markets I wouldn't touch these things with a 40 foot barge pole.
