Words fail me

Words fail me too.

whqqsh, Jan 6, 5:16am
yup, everything you need in a vehicle, wide enough to get stuck in traffic like a car, yet sitting out in the open like a bike. & ugly to boot

intrade, Jan 6, 5:18am
its got a road legal cert lol. check carjam

janbodean, Jan 6, 5:20am
I reckon that is one cool machine. Love it.

bill-robinson, Jan 6, 5:25am
you have to admire the builder, he has done more than most of the dreamers

2get1, Jan 6, 5:29am
Ugly to boot or in the boot lol yeah all the disadvantages of a car with non of the advantages of a bike. God you would be hard pressed to ever recoup your purchase price on that thing. If you really wanted a trike or whatever and wanted one that looked ok, went well and might resell for more than $1.50in a few years you would just buy a can am spider thing. That thing almost made my eyes bleed.

whqqsh, Jan 6, 5:51am
I admit I built a trike many years ago but saw quite a few & didn't like the 4X2 rhs tank-like construction & the higher than most cars build. Made mine low & not too long frame but raked & heavy front end (biggest problem with many trikes is light front end making easy wheel stands & losing steering when accelerating around corners) Got mine to the stage of driving on our factory driveway & a guy came around to buy some parts I'd bought or made but changed my direction. He saw mine compared to his, offered me stupid money & I couldn't resist selling.

It must be a shit of a thing to turn the way the handle bars are set up. It did have me scratching my head the way the exhaust has been done, V6 but looked like 4 pipes out each side, then realised the rear "exhaust" pipe is part of the frame

kam04, Jan 6, 6:52am
Yeah, you'd need bluddy long arms if you had to turn sharp

mrfxit, Jan 6, 6:58am
Those steering systems are normally run a high geared ratio
The exhaust is a clever "nod" to v8 trikes but of course is silly the moment you hear the engine
The car body has been split & narrowed to suit the trikes chassis

Not my 'cup of tea' but all credits go to the builder considering it's road legal.

kazbanz, Jan 6, 7:09am
When you look at the thousands of hours work that must have gone into the thing you have to admire the guy.

cinderellagowns, Jan 6, 7:44am
I wonder who "Diane" is? (Photo 17)

sr2, Jan 6, 7:49am
I couldn't agree more, each to his own.

yz490, Jan 6, 8:26am
love to know the engineering build story from the outset. Great people down south & always coming up with interesting concepts. Keep ya left foot warm too! .

beno, Jan 6, 10:34am
strangely tho', i would like to borrow it for a day and have a play with it. Just as long as my mates don't see me, rather like riding a moped or a fat ugly bird.

pnp, Jan 6, 10:47am
Not my cup o tea & far from pretty but some clever work gone into that. I'd like a closer look at the attachment of that front wheel!

mad_signtist, Jan 6, 11:37am
That got Phillip Weston written all over it

skiff1, Jan 6, 12:43pm
Hideous, but then I've never seen a trike I liked so not much worse than average really. Good on him for getting stuck in and having some fun.

strobo, Jan 6, 3:27pm
I don't see a seat belt?

ambo11, Jan 6, 4:43pm
Its no uglier than a Can Am Spyder to be honest, those things are hideous and pointless. Revolting yep, but the guy who built it has got way more patience and engineering know how than I'll ever have, and have to give the guy respect for that.He wll have been proud. Hope he isn't reading this thread!

2get1, Jan 6, 5:23pm
but as far as trikes go, the can am actually handles ok, for a trike.they corner pretty good and reasonable power. that thing this thread is about would handle like shit, im picking.

richardmayes, Mar 18, 5:34am
That's going straight to the pool room.
