"The Transport Agency undertook comprehensive reviews of it's Regional and Technical Support teams from mid-2014 in order to assess how we can streamline and improve the way we target our activities, improve the way we deliver our regulatory services, and have greater ability to assess the effectiveness of our work as the regulator of the transport sector."

This actually means that they made a lot of people redundant.

Including some bloody good people.

*sigh*

[and no, I don't work there by the way]

When I worked around trucking it was a massive pain dealing with the stupid stuff coming out. I could underload a truck and they'd go full out, absolutely all out to find an axle overweight or something even if they made the truck park up on uneven ground and weren't even doing things by their own book. Then "have fun wasting time fighting this because onus is on you now" driving off into the sunset.

They were just so hungry to catch you out on something, keeping detailed logs, being careful with loading, speedlimiters. It all meant jack because if they were coming up short on their performance reviews they'd cop you anyway. It's basically all pointless and comes down to "we have a minimum intake of people we want to book tonight come hell or high water". Annoyed me, probably good I don't do it anymore because I'd be done for assault on an officer.

ignition328 . They were just so hungry to catch you out on something, keeping detailed logs, being careful with loading, speedlimiters. I have just put an alternator belt on a Nissan terrano. its owned by a local ,it hasn't had a wof or rego since 2007. R.U.C is 80,000 out. and this thing is still being driven daily around here.Somethings drastically wrong with our system.

And yet they can't renew an endorsement on time, I applied to renew an endorsement end of February, it expired last week. Can't work until they have reviewed and renewed it, yes I rang them.
Strangely the have approved 2 other endorsements I have applied for.
Just dragging the chain on the important one that is stopping me from working.
They told me the F & P was fine, but they needed to review it.
I was like, what's to review, I've had it for 5 yrs, yet I've got clearance to get 2 more endorsements.
BS gone PC.
