lot better viewing than some truckie trying to ditch his girlfriend

chas10, Sep 5, 7:12pm
Totally her fault for cutting in so close to the truck but he hit her twice before he spun her around when he hit her the third time. He should have felt and heard something if he was paying attention.

nzoomed, Sep 5, 8:12pm
I did wonder if she was in the wrong, overtaking and cutting in front of the truck so quick, but you would think the driver would have felt it when the truck hit the car.

mk3zephyr, Sep 5, 8:21pm
I love shows like that, love the sound effects as if CCTV has microphones attached.

kazbanz, Sep 6, 7:25am
Seriously dude--go back and watch the vid again.
Black car in dark tunnel had its RR almost bang on in line with the front of trucks mirror. Then changed lanes straight under his nose THEN slowed down

henderson_guy, Sep 6, 7:37am
Not necessarily. You don't hear a lot from outside due to the sound deadening in the cab. Remember you have a 15 litre engine in front of you to try and silence. As for feeling. Dude, it's a massive truck. If you can't see the car, you'd think it's just another pothole.

bill-robinson, Sep 6, 7:46am
of course a blind truckie with no memory could do that. yes the car did move in front of him in his blind spot. did he not wonder where it had gone? or just drive on singing another one bites the dust. seriously you need a memory when driving not everything is clear cut when some thing does not happen it is dangerous as you need to locate it. are you saying that the truckie probably saw the car as it started to overtake and that is where his resposibility ends. as in "i saw, i do not need to know what happened "

franken1, Sep 6, 7:57am
If the audio in that video is correct, the truck driver should be jailed.
Listen to truck horn as she cuts in front of him. If he didn't know she was there, he wouldn't be hanging on the horn.

motorboy2011, Sep 6, 8:49am
it would be a boring video, you'd not see anything, same as the truck driver.

kazbanz, Sep 6, 8:53am
Mate--lets agree to disagree. I genuinely feel that the car driver was 100% at fault. -You don't -I aint gonna change your opinion nor you mine.
Proof of the pudding has to be who got prosecuted. Trucky didn't even get a warning

henderson_guy, Sep 6, 9:10am
Absolutely. Who changed lanes without ensuring it was clear to do so?

crankypants69, Sep 6, 9:50am
Don't they add the audio for "dramatics"?

bill-robinson, Sep 6, 9:53am
now we know why the cops have a difficult time proving what happened even with eye witness's

frytime, Sep 6, 2:19pm
Who the hell cuts off a truck with 40 ton on then slows? Oh just seen who

chas10, Sep 6, 2:49pm
Ive just watched this video again a couple of times and now Im not so sure. When she cut in front she was way too close which was entirely her bad but I still cant understand why the truck driver didnt see her. Ive owned and driven similar long nose trucks for years (Mack). If the audio was correct then another scenario is that he was angry at her manouvre and closed the gap on purpose to teach her a lesson. I dont understand how he could have hit her three times without knowing unless perhaps he did it on purpose.

fordcrzy, Sep 6, 7:39pm
100% her fault. he wouldnt have seen her. and as for "hitting" her i bet it was just a gentle rub and it would be felt MUCH MUCH more in the car then in a 40 ton truck which wouldnt even react to such a small bump. again her fault hope it taught her a lesson

fordcrzy, Sep 6, 7:45pm
this is why you dont do stupid $#!t around trucks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-0E2Nxtm6o

franken1, Sep 6, 7:51pm
Did he get on the horn because A. he likes being noticed in tunnels or because B. she cut him off. If B he must have known she was in front of him. He's without doubt a mongrel.

fordcrzy, Sep 6, 8:03pm
the horn noises are put in by the tv production company. ive installed High def PTZ traffic cams before and none of them had a microphone

fordcrzy, Sep 6, 8:08pm
heres the front blind spot for a cab over truck. imagine how much bigger it is for a truck with a bonnet. http://cdn.mccraw.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/truck_tape.jpg

fordcrzy, Sep 6, 8:12pm

fordcrzy, Sep 9, 5:53pm
Wait. what? where did all the experts go that blamed the truckie? crawled under thier rock?

theram1, Sep 9, 6:26pm
I also saw the photo with the Peterbilt.
I think the Kenworth on Surveillence Oz has a longer bonnet and is it not sloping like the Peterbilts bonnet, so the blind spot in front will be bigger.
The Truck driver most likely didn't see her.

neell, Jul 16, 5:39am
Totally the truck drivers fault! :)
