The answers some people give to questions never fails to amaze me. And the total lack of knowledge about the car they are selling. Here is a classic example. Questions and answers on a rover 623 being sold here at the moment.
when was the honda motor fitted and is it also a honda gearbox ? is it certified for this modification ? cheers Well I bought it before one and half year and the previous owner changed it and that might be before two years and I do not have paper for that 8:25 am, Sat 21 Nov when is cambelt due ? cheers I do not know to be honest 8:28 am, Sat 21 Nov how bad is oil leak and where from ? thanks I think it need just a gasgate to the brake oil 3:55 pm, Sat 21 Nov

I'm not sure what your problem is? Why should everyone know about their cars, for most they are appliances. I have no idea at all how my fridge works and electricity is magic to me. A fellow biker in his 50s has been riding all his life and only has a bike, yet knows nothing about its mechanicals at all. So what the beef here?

Those answers would simply make me walk away or expect a very low sale value

The answers are fine, the first question is stupid

first question is fair as its not the original engine in it and not the same size. IF the engine is simply a smaller version of the original engine and bolts straight in then no cert is required.

No it's not. Why on earth should this buyer know that a pommy rover was actually a Japanese Honda underneath. All they read is that it's a rover and has a Honda engine! We assume others know bizzare shit about cars! Seems like seller only knows it has Honda engine but not why.

Originally that car had a 2.3, now is a 1.8 so fair question.

Everyone drives. Most people know very little about cars.

Well piece of shit, mind you cheap enough, at that price why should the owner care or want to know the details, I'm with tamarillo on this one.
