Have been in contact with 3 sellers of 'quality' vehicles, wanting further info which has been provided, then when it comes to viewing "oh no, I don't have any spare time' or don't reply to messages at all - yet still listed as for sale. Bloody annoying! Cash buyer wanting an easy trade yet these sellers seem to be uninterested in actually selling their cars. Anyone else had this issue? Not going to a yard to pay ridiculous $ when I have cash, but it's getting to be an attractive option despite! Get the feeling they aren't all that interested in selling, more in getting a feel of the market

No one inspects vehicles for sale anymore. Two of my family members just sold vehicles on trademe and while both had good interest online and sold for good prices no-one came to view beforehand.
Anyway, I can see the point of not wasting time with 'tyre-kickers' as it were, when someone else will probably buy the vehicle sight unseen and be less of an inconvenience to them.

They probably checked your profile and gave you the attention they felt you deserved.

So how do car yard prices for the same sort of Year/make/model stack up against the average price from private sellers? One other possibility you didn't concider is that the cheapies you are asking about are actually piles of dog poo so the owners want a sucker who will buy without doing due diligence.

Similar experience. I recently made email enquiries on a few classifieds. Some replies were good, some I heard no response, but my favourite was an email, no actual content, no reference to a listing number, or in fact any hint the email was anything to do with a car for sale. The subject line was:
"Hy. Geerbox is Toyota supra diff standard LSD Set in ford possion reer we'll take a person"
I replied asking for a listing number so I could figure out what an earth I had asked, no response.

Go look at some dealer listings and make some price comparisons, you might be surprised. IMO people doing something for a living tend to be better at it and more professional to deal with than the average muppet who can't even wash, vacuum, photograph and describe their car properly and communicate properly either, and wants a retail price too. Amazingly enough dealers tend to back what they are selling a hell of a lot better, its their rep on the line if they don't. I've no idea how much you are spending but is it really worth attempting to save anything by not wanting to buy from a dealer?

Or it could be the op is contacting the sellers and making low ball cash offers and being ignored because seller wants auction to run its course.

If you work in an industry where you're not allowed to make mistakes, and you have to accurately interpret peoples' vague, half-formed ideas about what they think they want, and do everything right in next to no time in order to keep the customers happy, while making no technical mistakes whatsoever.
. it can be very frustrating when you step outside into the real world and find yourself frequently dealing with odd, unmotivated, incompetent, semi-literate muptards who expect everything to just come to them for very little effort. And yet they somehow make a living anyway.
(Muptard = a muppet that's been re-powered with the mind of a complete and utter retard.)
It's a country of 4 million people, I suppose it would be a boring place if everyone was the same.

Q: Will a 4AgS63 +T engine and P-80 LSD (phase 2) gearbox fit in this? A: I have no idea.
Q: Will two baby seats fit in this? A: Now THAT, I can answer.

You should be able to answer the gearbox question as thats very easy. it'll fit in the boot or the back seat with no problem at all
