Australian classic car enthusiasts asked for it and Bridgestone delivered. Now, the much-loved Bridgestone Eager SF-330 is back on Australian roads.

I found eagers to be crap in the wet, only thing worse was the old "slide" ovals. They did however look the part

whqqsh, May 13, 9:09am
smelt like nothing else, we could tell most brands by the smell but eagers were a dead cert

rotormotor7, May 13, 10:11am
Yeah we know the tyres werent the best in the business but s£%t they looked the deal on my rx7 in the 90's. even my mk5 'tina with hotwires weren't complete without the eagers lol.

Wonders what the price will be

Lack of grip could be put down to the width, 245 was far wider than needed on those old cars they were fitted to, 225 was more than enough on a car that was only intended to have 185-14's on it. Absolute pig with manual steering too.

loved that GTHO in the ad "Real men smoke Eagers"

afer_daily, May 13, 8:12pm
Still have one of those placard haning on the wall of the Counties Inn in pukekohe ( where else )

tamarillo, May 13, 8:43pm
Cavalino's would be great on a new BMW!

floscey, May 13, 8:49pm
get ya 404s on the floor

Be interesting to see what sizes and compounds they come in considering the changes in tyre technology since then.-
will be a very limited market if they stick to original sizing or just a marketing exercise if they come out on larger rim sizes.

rotormotor7, May 14, 8:17am
dont you believe it. the aussie rotorheads been asking bridgestone for ages to bring back th eager for their 13 inch deep dish rims.

Never heard good things bout Eagers. Also, Yokohama 352 were shit, and recently. Hankook RA03 are also shit. Bring back Goodyear Gatorbacks!

" Hi There,

Thank you for the interest. The Bridgestone Eager SF-330 will only be available in one size at this stage- 245/50R14. Based on customer feedback, we constantly review sizes available across our entire range. "

well thats 5hit. not many old schoolers can run that width happily under stock guards and/ or have heavy steering. lame.

franc123, May 19, 8:52am
You really need 14 x 8's for a start to run those, you can buy new Tridents in that width if you want to spend the $ but the majority with 7's only need 235's at the outside.

darryl, May 19, 9:45am
The manufacturer lists 7" rim as suitable.

zephyrheaven, Jan 22, 8:49am
They never went out of stock, Ive always been able to buy them in 245 50 14
