Rim width and tire size width what fits, please

Is a 7" rim okay for 195 tires or alternatively is 5" rims ok for the same 195 tires. My steel wheels at present are probably 6.5" for a Toyota Fielder. There are some nice Toyota factory alloys but they are only 5" rims with 175 tires. As you see don't know much about this subject. Thanks.

7" is too wide

5" may be too narrow for a 195. I think the best fit for that width is a 175

There isn't much point in going back to 5's, a more worthwhile upgrade would be to a 6.5 or 7 and go to a 205 in whatever profile is required to keep it below the maximum allowed rolling radius for wof which is only up to 5% greater than what the factory tyre size was.
