I am selling a car only one of the bidders has bothered to look at it and took it to vtnz to get it looked at the other ones haven't even asked a question. After bidding if they win do they still have to pay.

Why would a car be any different to anything else you auction? Of course they have to pay if you've described it accurately

yes but surely they want to take it for a test drive . One can only describe to the best of there ability. One bidder had it vtnz pre purchase tested but the others have not even asked questions.

A test drive or personal inspection isn't mandatory. You will probably get your money.

Thanks perhaps I am being paranoid but it has happened. I blocked one person because I read feedback and there were about 6 or 7 cars he did bid on won and didn't go through with it. but thank you anyway

It's quite normal, your in a rural area so very few can view it and your relying on someone close wanting that car right now. Out of Towners bidding to get bargain and doubt they will bid once you get close to Normal price as it's not a rare car, lots of choice of them, and you do have high miles for type of car. Some will bid and then if when they come to see it they feel it is not as you said will walk away. Hard to enforce under those conditions. Personally I don't let not authenticated bidders bid on car auction so as to avoid idiots mucking up bids.
Anyway don't worry, you've had someone view which isn't bad really.

I have sold 6 cars over the past 3 years, in only 2 cases did the buyer have a look first. No problems with the sale or payment.
