natural selection

morrisjvan, Jan 15, 2:22pm
If he had followed the cord , he would have found a plug on the end and just pulled it out .What a muppet.

intrade, Jan 15, 2:27pm
if that was the case you should see em die like flys.

saxman99, Jan 15, 2:33pm
Yeah I figured that too. What I wonder is if he had done that already and they had just put it back and carried on partying.

"Screw this, I'll cut the cord!"

But, really hacked off, at 1am, forgets to unplug first.

Maybe.

melp6, Jan 15, 2:45pm
I thought that myself when I read that earlier

grangies, Jan 15, 2:57pm
"His death has been referred to the coroner."

Sheesh, the coroners must get sick of having crap like this referred to them. What are they supposed to say in the report?

"Ummmmmm, urrrrrrrr, ummmmm, he ummmmm well he ummm. Arrrrgh HE BLOODY WELL CUT THOUGH A LIVE POWER CORD WITH HIS BARE HANDS AND SOME PLIERS FFS " LOL.

jason18, Jan 15, 3:08pm
Muppet. A little bit of patience and he would still be alive

melp6, Jan 15, 3:09pm
I wonder if he'd been sticking to not beersies?

ianab, Jan 15, 3:37pm
More ironic in the updated article?

The kids were listening to a battery powered music player, so the music didn't even stop. They found the guy later when they went to check why the lights didn't work.

trogedon, Jan 15, 5:53pm
On the other hand good on him for trying to stop their F$%(ing noise!
First call should've been ask the campground manager to shut them up. then unplug and cut the cord. Sad to die for such a pathetic reason.

craigs_workshop, Jan 15, 5:55pm
he probablly didnt want them walking out & immediatly getting the power back on

mojo49, Jan 15, 7:04pm
Most caravan parks have their power circuits on RCDs now. If that camp had then he would not have received a fatal shock. We used to stay at another camp at the same beach. Looking to go to this camp but our caravan is self contained and we wont be plugging into the 240 volt system. Beautiful spot though. Very sad. "Momentary loss of reason."

saxman99, Jan 15, 8:52pm
Maybe. They ain't idiot proof.

gwimweeper, Jan 15, 9:09pm
Actually he did find a plug and pulled it out before attempting to cut the cord.

Only problem was he unplugged it from the caravan - not from the powerbox.

This tells you what the victim did for a job. Words fail me.

They say you shouldn't go anywhere without your Leatherman. Maybe it's best left at home.

whqqsh, Jan 16, 5:45am
you gotta be shittin me!
Imagine those guys going back over a few past jobs

sanremo, Jan 16, 7:33am
I'm guessing professional experience gave him a healthy dose of "screw this, I know what I'm doing. "

franc123, Jan 16, 8:15am
You did wonder if it was a Journo just taking the urine, but the employer was named. Likewise comments like "The power supply to the van was estimated to be in the region of 240 volts" Well who would have thought that.

richardmayes, Jan 24, 5:02am
Understandable for someone in a sleep-deprived rage - other peoples' effing music gets inside your head in a way few other annoyances can.

Might have been more sensible to unplug the cord first and then cut the plug off. ?
