Bearing Failure diagnosis?

I would have thought ACL bearings would have been reasonable quality, I havnt heard anything bad about them and they are a well established brand.

any damage on any other bearing?
if not the oil may not be the cause.
still would like to know exactly what oil was used.

of interest local mech had a vehicle where the oil had jelled in the sump. had been properly serviced etc. they put it down to new oil reacting to old oil.

fuchs 5w30, I think it was CFX. Main bearings look fine other the odd bit of foreign material ingestion, presumably as a result as the big end bearing failures.

Diesel contamination of crankcase oil.

i still want to see the cam shaft pictures

now that is quite unlikely to happen even if the pump was running in the oil on gear side , that is the suction side so more like engine oil in fuel like mitsis do would be the cause not diesel in sump it definetly dont injects fuel in the exhaust stroke like modern CR diesel

shes fucked. end off.

It may be OK, 4JG2 is a belt drive pushrod motor, its not overhead cam, it would be less affected by low oil pressure.

ok yea i forgot that it probably was that engine . the thng is if its oil strarvation the top suffers normally first damage before the bottom end whom is wet . look for any damage up top and post picture if you can . if it was overhead cam that be the first thing i pull if the bottom looks nuked. also check piston gudgeon pin play , any play causes early timing remember its a self igniter there is no sensor advance timing on these! when i hear nocking on a diesel i = shut-down soonest or the end result will be what we just looked at can be just 1 piston and bearing then you can sortof rool wrong oil out as oil logically lubes all of them the same. Not even looked at the pic links or read most of this BUT, Who ever put a 5/30 synthetic in an older diesel should be (&(*&*($&$#%*(*) on a spiked pole

Synthetic oils act much the same way as detergents & clean engines.
Combo of synthetic/ low viscosity / older generation diesel engine was awaiting disaster . .(Never mind adding in towing).

Seen it happen before, older engine/ higher or very high km's, pop in some nice synthetic oil = Poof not long after (rings or bearing fail)
