Yes, based on my recent joy with the authorities I can see this, but somehow it feel s like giving in to inevitability that people are crooked. I want to think we're honest.
Oh well back to the old folks home!
Anyone got one? They are motion sensitive if I read it right, so you don't need to keep turning it on/off ever time you use car?

should have a huge mother bullbar so no damage hapens to yours you could then drive off with a smile after you pointed out the dash cam.
This exact thing has happened to me in the 90s with a old women she rolls back in to me and then jumps out and claims i rammed her. nothing had happened but i had no eveidence cameras did not even exist back then.

tamarillo also look at dx and ali express. sellers with good feedback is what to use once you found a good high res one you need good resolution on a dash cam or it be a waste.
the one you post seems cheap looking thru specs quick almost to cheap for what it seems to be. I usually try to find reviews of users befor i buy something
also scamers can have flash websites
i paid somone 100$ on a swiss flash website after nothing came i googled and there where people who paid tousends for laptops and got nothing also. only 100 i lost but pays to be carfully dx is fine and with ali you got to hunt out the good ones

A guy in front of me stopped for no reason on a hill and rolled back a bit as I was braking. I just touched his nasty plastic car with my big Falcon SW, and he claimed there was $500 damage to his car. There was no damage to mine but I had to make a null claim with State to avoid paying anything. So I lost my no claims bonus.
I will never insure with State again. But I had no proof.
Even the nastiest dash cam would be better than nothing.

If you have a smart phone you can download an app for it. I have downloaded daily roads voyager. Hassle being that you need to refit your phone into the holder each time but cheaper than buying another recording device when you have a good one in your phone. But can definitely see the advantages of having evidence on the road.

A $30 dash cam will do the job, plug it, or better use permanent wiring, turn it on and leave it on, I have one in all my vehicles.

We've got dashcams fitted to all our vehicles and the best one is the Blackvue - but it's expensive. I like it as it records the speed you're driving at.
