Firstly, negotiating around Auckland this morning with an oversized load, everybody was very curteous, pulled over and left me plenty of room, which rarely happens. On the way back to Tauranga, with the exception of one silly cow, all motorists were well behaved and sensible. On the way to the Waikato in my ute, first of all somebody in a VW ute (wonder of wonders, I noticed drivers of late model VW's are some of the most arrogant) leaves me a gap to move into the passing lane to get past a slow moving truck, even though I was slow moving myself and was planning to let the faster traffic past first. And finally, once past the kaimais, even though traffic was heavy I could sit at an indicated 110km/h most of the way, with all cars leaving a sensible following distance. Even through the 2 passing lanes, nobody in the visible line of traffic felt the need to overtake. All in all, a pleasurable day to be on the roads. Happy Friday everyone!

I reckon mate, flashest things on there! I took the old girl for a warrant recently, flew through no worries. Not bad considering it's coming up 350,000 and nearly 20 years old! All good this end, how bout you guys? How did that fishing wagon turn out?

Wagon was sold 18 months ago mate, sad day but I was wrecking it with work. Cant believe you still have the Mitsi, I have a soft spot for them, so reliable. That last one I had (the V6) was mad it hauled big time, miss it sometimes haha. Hey I bought another semi project Old 73 Bedford TK tipper :)

Did you get the Holden finished before you moved it on? Haha the ute and I have been together for just under a decade now, I was looking at replacing it but just can't bear to see her go! Have a company vehicle now too, so it only gets used weekends. The Bedford sounds neat, anything radical planned for it?

I love the look of the J too, very cool. The TK is having a full paint job as it is still in its original colours. Just had all the seats re-trimmed. Building/converting the flat deck to a bin with three way tail gate. One of my companies is based on old fashioned values and the whole setup is old school so I figured the vehicles should also reflect this as far as poss. The TK has literally only done 60km from new so hey thats a bonus. Big plus is the rego is only $165 for a full year :) how good is that haha
