The heater control is jammed and I need to get at what ever the knob connects to so I can free it.
Anyone know how to remove the fascia panel please ?

Yup. I have the same van and I did this recently.
Rather than try to remember the exact steps and put you crook, I'll scan and send you the haynes pages if you like. It's easy to crack the thing if you're not careful.
It starts with the notepad clip. It removes by releasing it with a small flat screwdriver and behind it is a screw. There is another screw behind the gear stick gaiter. There are two more down the bottom, maybe behind the ashtray?
Let me know if the pages would help.
Cheers & good luck.

Thanks for the offer Saxman - I have been thinking of getting a manual for it anyway - you have convinced me now. I will track one down before I start. Not so urgent these days - weather is getting warmer! At -11 deg at Ranfurly/Naseby a few weeks ago, having the heater operating properly would have been a bonus!

Cool, the manual is pretty decent and covers most of the details you would likely ever need.
At -11 I would be getting it in both ears if the heater didn't work. !
Cheers

It worked ok, it was just the distribution that was all haywire :)
