Why cant people stay in their own lane.

At least once a week I encounter someone crossing into my lane when going around a corner or bend. Symonds Street just off the motorway - two lanes going right, and for some reason people cant seem to keep in their own lanes. Got some nice dashcam footage from this place!

Because we are poorly trained ill disciplined drivers under the control of an inept policing system.

Most drivers wander into the wrong lane like this. It is so common that I usually anticipate this (you can tell the type of driver who does it when they pull alongside) and go into the wrong lane too in order to avoid a collision.

Too busy texting.

There are more than a few road layouts around that can be blardy confusing and don't take into concideration how a car, and driver, actually go around corners.

Many new cars go round corners so well that people don't realise how fast they are actually moving. Or just too bloody stupid to be on the road!

they have a license to drive a motor vehicle on the road. you want them to stay in a lane? if they can stay on the road they are great drivers in this country

Photo of the intersection. Road is pretty clearly marked where the lanes go. Google earth managed to get a good shot of someone doing it (from the opposite side I go from).
