Can someone please let me know the price of buying a trade plate for light vehicles?
I can't see it on the NZTA website.

they use to be volume related and priced accordingly, but its been a long time since I had to use them

grangies- sorry if im tellin gramma to suck eggs etc. Joe blogs can't just go get a trade plate. You have to be in the trade in some way and able to prove it. For trade plates they are for a year always STARTING January 1 A trade plate issued on Jan 1 for Jan 1-dec30 will cost about $320 (a fraction less) As every full month clicks over though it gets a percentage cheaper. So a plate issued in june is about $100 cheaper than one issued in January it doesn't decrease by 1/12 every month-theres fixed costs that stay the same and some costs decrease. Hope that helps
