Totally Inept Inconsiderate Driver Aboard

TIIDA. seriously what is it about TIIDA drivers? TOTAL muppets. every week this year ive been amazed at the inept driving ability shown by Tiida drivers. four time been held up on the open road by a tiida doing 70kmh in a 100 zone. then get to a town and they do 70 through the 50 zone! last week coming from waihi to tauranga a tiida managed to accumulate around 25 cars following behind as they dawdled along at 70-80kmh. until the passing lane when they buried the gas to 105 and only two cars managed to get passed. oh and must remember the total *&%$& who thought that it was a good idea to stop in the middle of a 100kmh zone to work out where they were whilst a fully loaded logging truck swerved to avoid hitting them . seriously people who go to buy a TIIDA should be given a mobilty scooter instead and have thier licence taken off them.

Ya lucky ya didnt ram them with ya fully loaded log truck, coz ya would be paying to shunt up the rear end

Get used to it, at least for a while, they are one of the most common used imports at the moment and naturally will one of the most common cars on the road. Well at least until all the CVT's go belly up in a few years. The demographic you refer to has always been around, in the 70s it was Hunters they drove, in the 80s it was Lancers, in the 90s it was nothing in particular, in the 00s it was Swift, now its Tiida that's the preferred pensionermobile. Oh and getting out of Western BOP might help too lol.

Ive noticed (& I know its tenuous) but I've become wary of cars that names end in 'Z', Vitz, Platz, Getz. The drivers seem to be a bit 'zzzzz' themselves, then theres the stupid shopping cart names, like Voxy, Splash, Note, Terios, Lime etc that are supposed to be 'cute & funky' but the only thing funky is the drivers actions

Thank goodness Its not just me, seeing them everywhere in my weekly trip from Tauranga to Whitianga and back, plus it has got worse since some of the rental companies have bought into them.

Ah, the good old "one speed" driver. I come across a few of them too.

saxman99, Feb 6, 6:30am
Yeah my Gran is one of them. 80 clicks everywhere.

We have rented a couple of Tiidas in recent years. 'Orrible cars: hard nauseating ride on the rough roads of Christchurch. On the open road one was ok until we got to the hills, when I had to change the auto box down manually to 3rd or 2nd and keep it at 5000rpm, otherwise it would have just died! And don't drop a map or wallet down between the front seats, you will have great difficulty indeed in retrieving it! Only good thing about the rental ones is that they were cheap!
But you get the constant 70km/h (except in passing lanes) "drivers" in expensive cars, too.

When I went on holiday down there I noticed lots were rental cars
