There's a diesel For sale that is from UK, with miles on clock and carjam confirming miles. Seller bit naughty not making it plain that the km milage is actually miles. But also say ruc paid up to xxxxx km which is couple of hundred over current odo reading. But odo is miles. So they're getting cheap ruc rate surely. Not pointing to listing as not trying to get anyone in trouble, the question here is, does this work? Don't they check at warrant.

no i got 2 ex uk diesel . the way it works you buy the 1000km units but you only get like 600 miles for your 1000km on the sticker. and no i have not got time to use a calculator because its not actuarly 600 or what ever its 1.6 km to 1 mile from what i recall so you get just less miles when you buy it dont worry the government is not stupid they ding give you miles for kilometers money

If it worked it makes my case for buying a Ford F350 a bit stronger.

Guess with moderns you can change odo reading to km, so maybe it's all legit and carjam is wrong.

My mistake, seems car allowed do to be in KM and Carjam got old info - damn! No cheat available.

As above, my US Winnebago is in miles, system knows this as it is entered at compliance time, buy units, get miles equivalents. You can't 'change' anything. The only way it would be possible is if MR2A is incorrectly shown as km's. Never seen or heard of that happening

Friends dad's Audi odo is in miles, he's paid rucs as if it's displays km. No one seems to pickup on it, so far.

That's right as it's only if a cop checks their odometer and notices that it's miles and not kms that they could be ticketed, otherwise they can continue to pay RUC at a 40% discount.

You wouldn't know my ute was diesel if you were beside it while it was running, and if your inside it even less chance of knowing it was diesel.
