In the market for a tradie van,,have talked to few owners of both. All very pleased.
Anyone got either care to add a comment?

Havent tried the LDV but I did buy a new iLoad.
Extremely happy.
More power than I need, (yes it can go seriously quick) real use consumption about 8.3lt/100km
Quiet and comfortable and Im still loading it up with accessories.

my work just got a new transit, the biggest one you can get and its surprisingly fast for something the size of a house, i know the earlier trajics were dubious but not sure what the new ones are like problem wise

Have seen a couple of pics of the factory welding on a rear seat for an LDV, would not buy from one picture alone.

Muzz-I rented a LVD van for a day and to be honest I was blown away by the internal space. My Only hassle was the truly horrible auto gearbox.

I'm really enjoying these mixed up acronyms, an LMVD rents a LDV for a day and finds the trans has VD?

i did not even take an ldv for a test drive it had rust on the demonstrator in dargavill field days , walked away ticking box for heap of scrap. not to ever go near again foton is another such make whom had rust on the demo. the sangyoung utes next to ldv where superior 10 folds in quality and build

The LDV's are FWD, I know that a few vans now are , but who wants a FWD van?

sone are front wheel drive. The g10 2 litres turbo is rwd

FWD vans handle brilliantly, have superior traction, (weight over the driven wheels even when empty), they're great for towing, they have a lower floor, . the list goes on.

You ever considered a tow ball cover that looks like a speed camera flash module?

stevo2, Nov 27, 3:29pm
Have parked up on the main road a few times and see all the cars hit their brakes as they come into view. Quite a laugh.

They have the load weight in the rear ! FWD is rubbish for towing ,they should indeed have a lower floor, but the LDV doesn't appear to have any significant difference there. a FWD van is like towing a trailer with a Segway ! With the possible exception of the mini, no serious motor vehicle is FWD.
