Hi I am looking for a glue to install a hood lining which is folded around the edge of the windows and door seals and a couple of other interior trim pieces. It seems to be a glue that sticks but is not permanent (as in you can peel the attached piece off if you have to). Or maybe that is just due to the age of the glue
What is used? Ados f2?

Has to be able to cope with high heat. A dos f38 for instance. Roof gets very hot in sun and glue gives up, which is why we get so many sagging roof linings. Are you trying to put in a whole new lining? Have you bought the lining?

Replacing one, already have it the only parts which need glueing are the edges e.g around the windows / doors

The issue generally isn;'t the glue --its normally the material the glue is trying to bond to--a good clean up to remove foam will make a big difference

But did his coracle hold together ?
The story I heard was that it sprung a leak so he stuffed his dogs nose in it. When that didnt work, he got Eve to jam her feet in the hole.
Eve grizzled about that, so Adam sat in the hole and paddled back to the shore.
Ever since then - dogs have wet noses, womens feet are always cold, and men always stand with their backs to the fire.

You forgot about the fish.
Are you sure Eve didn't sit there?

Are you talking about an old type suspended headlining with metal bows? If so, F2 is the glue to use

Yes that is correct, metal bows

Will ados f2 / f38 be easy to peel off if the hood lining needs to be removed again?

Ados F2/38 can be cleaned off vinyl/painted surfaces with white spirits, or turps.

There are some clear/water white contact adhesives which might be much better / less messy than Ados F2 etc. One I've used which would possibly do the trick was Bostik Ultragrip 777. That can be used with Desmodur RFE cross-linking agent if extra heat resistance is needed. Might be worth calling Bostik for a recommendation. Possibly not available in small tubes though, and through specialist suppliers only - not retail stores etc.
