check the bottle best use manufacture recommendation or I think its 33%

jason_247, Feb 19, 7:11pm
concentrate between 33% or 50% for colder snowy areas
total capacity should be around 7-9l for that car

depends on how long you want it to keep lasting like i got a 95 corolla it has black coolant in there and its still -45 degree below zero when i mesured it with the refractometer so i wont exchange that. Somone said it was geniuen toyota coolant the black stuff.

If in doubt use a 50% solution that way you cant go wrong you are better off with a little more than not enough .

yes but how much water does the cooling system have in it . i dont have a workshop manual ,,ta,,

Ok you never get all water out of a cooling system. or lets say you wont be able to tell if you did , so the amount of coolant you need is more then enough you should always have spear coolant in case you have a unforseen small leak one day .
So you buy minimum nuollen premix antifreeze green 15 liter worth of it this way you have enogh to do the job and have spear after.
other option is to get geniuen toyota antifreeze for it.
and if you do your own work you need a refracto meter to mesure the condition the coolant is in and a cheap multimeter to mesure if you have electrolosys from bad grounds on your engine electrolosys destroyes the coolant just like chlorine and other minerals in normal non destilled water.

so you have to make the desition what to do buy geniuen toyota coolant or buy replacment aftermarket one , and dont buy any other junk then nuollen brand i use that since years and non of my clients have had 1 problem with there cooling system .
you have the option to buy premix or concentrated,
i like to have some premix and concentrate concentrate to bump the coolant back up to the level of protection during maintainance . Refractometer is what needs to be used to mesure coolant condition.
my toyota has black coolant in there and i just mesured it it still reafding
- 42 ° below zero on refracto meter so that black coolant seems to be good quality stuff.

now to electrolosys you could use ph level test strips bt we dont have them lie around usually.
You use the multimeter on lowest settings dc and put black wire on battery minus and the red probe you dangle in the coolant of the cooling system
the voltage reading must be below 0.5 volt or you have a electical problem causing electrolosys to your cooling systems component .
its not like radiators are 1mm or thicker copper that can withstand electrolosys.
they are paper thin cheap alloy copper mix cores on radiators with plastic tanks and sealed cheap aftermarket radiator last about 6 years oem radiators last about 12 years , and my 95 corolla still seems to have the original radiator with 320.000km this is due to the fact there is propper coolant in the system most probably all its live.
