Got my rangie going but rough & wont go above idle , suspect injectors as the donk sat for 7 years , has new leads 7 plugs ,. Is there a inline type of cleaner or do I have to take them all ,out ?

before pulling injectors I'd be pulling all pipes - into pump and out, including right back to tank although as a check, drop the in pipe at the filter and siphon ex tank - if runs freely should be okay you've replaced filters naturally, fresh filter should be able to siphon through the filter at pump entry
won't run above idle is a supply problem 7 yrs parked says rust in pipes or filters could also be the rack frozen, or barrels frozen in pump

Plenty of gas (fresh ) at return line at tank when cranked i reckon once warm up injector closes not enough gas through injectors to keep running Funny thing , gas goes stale eh , well i took 25 L 7 yr old gas out of the tank , put it in my lawnmower & ran perfectly so put 20 L into my suzuki Sj buggy & it ran perfectly too . Guess ill have to pull the injectors bugga of a job

got me, I was thinking simms pump diesel , never even thought it might be a petrol
mechanical pump or electronic injector, could be the ECU if electronic, not registering the throttle sensor therefore not increasing volume when demanded
theres a lot who will argue about stale fuel etc, and all the right arguments to back themselves up - but I've fired up vehicles that have been parked by hedges for 20 plus years on the dregs of the last fill that was still in the tank, it may smell a bit different but it still runs the engine

what exact system has it got? wont go above idle sounds like you should start with the basic stuff like is there enough fuel pressure and flow . i assume you talk a petol engine that would be the first thing fuel pressure mesurment then tick that box if its ok befor and after fuel filter if you can.

^^ Lucas petrol fuel injection in range rover 3.9 V8 same as disco ,landy etc . motor hadnt run for 7 years , useless workshop manual doent give any parameters for testing TPsensor , airflow meter or injector s &it doesnt have a diagnositic system either . So do you just be a swapatron until its fixed ?

no find a manual explaining the principle of a lucas what ever model number injection system and then you can test things . if you find it you can post on here and the non swaptrons on here can tell you wat needs to be done is this it ? http://www.gomog.com/plus8/fuelinjection.htm

airflap airflow meter stick due to corrosion if you got that airflow meter dont mess with it just now but report what you have.

there is oltimer classes for diagnostic in germany about that, unfortunatly i did not take that course so i would need to SEE it = study it first . are the injectors with electric wires or is there none ?
