He probably should have waved them past when the road straightened out instead of carrying on and having them block other less cautious traffic. An impatient driver could risk and overtaking the van and him as well so its in his interests to help them pass

I'm a road cyclist and ride on that road. I hate holding people up on my bike - will always pull over to let cars pass when safe to do so. Conversely I have also had foreign drivers holding me up there, while on said bike. Which then meant a queue of cars was behind the both of us. I didn't pull over that time because there was no point.

When someone wants to get past me I try to get them in front of me as soosn as I can, less chance of them hurting me then.
I couldn't help notice the camera on his handlebar yet no mirror, I've never understood why cyclists wouldn't want to know whats coming up behind them.
Why is he not fighting this in court? I would say if he just a little less attitude he wouldn't have got the ticket in the first place, we all know if you wind a cop up you pay.

Bloke I used to work with said 'proper' cyclists wear gloves too.
Seems bloody tourists are still causing grief.
