hi all, ill try to make this as short as I can, wife's vz commie overheated, got towed to whitianga, garage there told her head gaskets were blown, cheaper to replace engine, looking at around $3500, mate went down, brought it back on trailer, filled with water, ran up to temp, radiator leaking, took to radiator place, he put in new radiator and did tee kay test for blown head gaskets, came back all fine, not sure if garage in whitianga was trying to rip the mrs off or just got it wrong, but now one of the belts is squealing, been told by a mate could be water pump ready to shit itself, hoping its just a loose belt, have sprayed it with belt grip but still doing it.

belt could be shot from water /coolant . disconnect the belt and go over ur pulleys one by one with ur hand check there is no play ie sideways movment and they spin free like a bearing . if not replace this included water pump and get new belt roughly 60 buks . good to hear not terminal! and check tensioner still got load torque.
