Search on shear as sheer refers to womens see-thru dress material.

We have something similar where I work. 1 of the cutting mechanisms was not working. We got a new metal arm precision cut and machined so everything on it works again. It is major work to dismantle and reassemble. I will have a look on Tuesday to see if it has a manufacturers name on it.

Give AIE a try, mr Google will tell you where they are. In Kawerau. Big shop, could build you a new shear/cropper if you have enough money!

Know their stuff too, I've transported some machinery there that an Auckland outfit made an absolute balls-up of

we only use the machine once or twice a week for a couple of hours ,the fault is no big deal we still use it but it would be nice to have problem fixed. The dog clutch jumps out and does not punch hole ,about every 5th hole it misses. Have set up lever to hold dog in but only have two hands and to do that it takes three (Big problem)

AIE are well worth a try! They have a Peddinghaus punch, shear cropper there that,if the same model, may be used as a pattern,. They are great engineers!
