1972 Norton 750 combat commando (raw and lively)
Hooked on 650 singles since then. (KLR, DR, F650) Huge fun on any surface
Currently yearning for a Royal Enfield C5 for very different reasons.
Worst would be LE Velocette, (funky but crap) James 200 (not funky, still crap)

Have to add another.
FIM Commando, yellow with Norvil racing gear. The bike that Keith Turner won the Isle of Man on in 72/73?
OPPPPS, edited to add I never owned it, just rode it one day may years ago.

Yamaha XJ900 -every model from 83-98 comfortable mile eater
Yamaha TZR250 86 -best race bike Ive enjoyed.
Yamaha YZF750sp miles of smiles
Kawasaki KX125-Makes guys on bigger/heavier bikes look silly --if ridden right.
Suzuki LT50- Without hesitation the very best bike in the world to get kids riding.

Triumph 3TA - I think cause I was 14-15 and it was the shit
Bonneville - cause being a bullet proof teenager getting into trouble
Triumph Pre-unit Hard tail Chopper - was a love hate relationship
Ducati Paso - cause I could out run most cops
Any of the 4 Harley's I now own - cause of the people I now ride with and being old enough not to do the dumb shit but young enough to still know how to have a real good time.
There are a lot more bikes that I loved but those are the most memorable

BSA 650 A10 Gold Flash
BSA B33 Gold Star
Honda 1976 CB400F (my favourite really - over 2 decades of fun riding)
Currently 2010 Triumph Bonnie - does everything right but I just don't love it.
Most disappointing - Yamaha TX500 - quick but broke cyl heads for no good reason.

One of my mates had the SL100 with the big bore kit. It used to wheely all over the place; which could be a bit scary in Dunedin winters.

My best bikes were

Honda CB 350 with the great flex frame
Honda CB 750
Fuji Rabbit Victa 125? ( I learned on that thing)
Honda VFR 700 (awesome little beast)
The worst
Yamaha SR 500. about as fun as measles.
