Just been looking at grass kart footage on You Tube from the South Island what a massive sport down there .Lots of karts on Trade me too. Does Anyone know if this will come to the North .Surely its the best bang for your buck Motorsport.

You can do dirt track karting at Te Aroha. Similar but different.

The maintenance on the karts would be horrendous. I would think karting on a race track would be far better bang for your buck.

Yes TeAroha is going real well and has a heap of members now.The maintenance would be crucial but I think in general people are going to the dirt because the startup costs are low as in you don't need the latest gear and most of the grass karts have Trail/Mx motors which are pretty durable

mopsy I think you'll find grass karting is taking off because of the strict rules and regulations around normal karting. Grass karting is all about having fun.

+1 normal karting race fees etc ridiculous, use to just go to
karting club on non race weekends and duel with club members.

Been involved with both, can only speak from my own experience.
