I'm so. Stupid at times

Fairlane would Beep and display number 58 on digital readout of trip computer whenever I speed up on open road. Assumed it was a warning of a fault. Read manual, went online, nothing. Checked fluids and gauges, nothing.

Till it clicked. I'd somehow inadvertently turned the speed warning system on and it was set to go at 58kph.

Duh.

thats not stupid , stupid would be to get the car fixed and get charged 1000$ for a new computer by some moron with no clue, you did well i recon using the brain and logic thinking leads to results.

Fun to do this to other people's cars as a prank.

now here is one that got me for a secound thinking there was something wrong.
a 2010 audi a4 with electric hand brake you can just drive off without releasing the handbrake and the controller will release your handbrake when it knows you drive off.
Now i wanted to drive off and it would not let me the next time i knew about this function .
hmmm so i release it manually and tell my mate what had happened.
He sayd yes that happened to me too you need to put your seatbelt on first.
rite i sometimes have the habbit to move off and while i drive off put the seat belt on the same time.
Now that was in europe not that some police here now tells i admited to driving without seatbelt , because technically in this country you would get a fine for that and there soon is nothing you wont get fined here if you ask me even for breathing to fast will be the next level of fines they dream up i guess.
ANYHOW back to this audi the thing is once you try and move off and it wont let you and you put the seatbelt on after it still wont let you drive off you need to release the handbrake with your finger on the electric handbrake .
it only works if you put first seatbelt on then drive off the self release function.
