only morons do transmission flushes thats like if you where to wanting a engine oil flush. i know that is what they do and they are all gungster morons who only want $ for incorrect ways of doing things. you drain the oil and change your filter on a engine right. So why would it be ok to flush it? gearboxes have a filter insde them that needs replacing and a hell of a load have bands whom need adjusting still its not just the 70s i adjusted bands on a 2000 mazda capella so i wonder how flushing is taking care of all this. so forget about flashing all you will be flushing is your wollet of $$ in to there pocket.

Just had a trans 'flushed' as the oil was a dark colour. Simply changing it would have resulted in the oil still black. Yes I used 10 litres, but that is how much it took to now have clean transmission fluid.

i dont talk about draining oil, i talk about correct servicing you do need to purge the fluids from the torque converter ! and the trans cooler. this is done so easy you just remove the hose after the cooler befor it returns while you feed new fluids in to the trans sump where it picks up the fluids thru the new installed filter thru the torque converter thro the cooler out the exit of the cooler. once the brown colour is nice and red you exchaged the trans fluid Dextron 3 i talk about here in particular reconnect hose and your done . you also service the internals when the sump is off like adjust bands if required. before you purge the fluids

I would say to do it properly would be about $230 -$260

Hate ta be a pessimist
BUT a 1998 mitshubishi Legnum Automatic [possibly G D I?] That a query about a water pump has already been posted?
not the strongest of automatics. and age and mileage will be showing. (Reads like the vehicle has just been acquired along with problems)
