Now what would cause this? Top row - car one Bottom row - car two
Both had valet service yesterday but car two had a lot more done to it. A note was left on the dashboard saying, "Please leave the windows open while parking over night ensuring all the seats and carpet have dried out thoroughly." Since I couldn't really do that in carports I closed them around 7.30 pm and then opened them this morning at 8.30 am. Does it mean it's still drying out or is it another problem?
it is still drying out if it is your new platz then turn on the aircon that drys things out if you have a dehumidifyer stick that in the car its what i do if i accidently forgot to close a window in the rain.

It's still drying out and may continue to do so for several days, it can't hurt to leave the doors open as well if it's just parked at home. If it's a sunny day park it out of the carport.

Thanks skull - didn't realise it would be several days. Overcast in Whangarei so I might see if I can get the car to the back door and haul my dehumidifier into it.

One car has been wetvac treated. It needs to dry or the car will smell horrible. If the platz has monsoons then leave all the windows open a crack -25mm I would aid matters by using a dry cloth to get the moisture from the windows. The moisture on them has come from somewhere. basically-you need the car to be as hot as possible for as long as possible for the next few days

Thanks kaz - we have cloudy weather with showers for the next few days. Might see if I can borrow my Dad's garage and plug in the dehumidifier for a few days from there.

Put the dehumid in the car and shut the windows and doors.

Yep, will do it tomorrow now. I kept nodding off at the computer this morning so at lunchtime I thought a 45 minute nap would do me good before going out. I woke up again at 8.00 pm. *doh*
