I guess it is a bit hard to get parts for Ascaris locally. Didn't know there was even one in NZ.

Found him, RT auto electronics. Rebuilt and back the same day for $250. Might have found a second hand one cheaper but the faults are pretty common and I know this one will do another lifetime now.
