2007 triton headlights

had a bulb blow so went to repco to get 2 new bulbs

the old bulbs were 60/55W and I wanted brighter bulbs so was told by the guy in repco to use the higher wattage bulbs 130/90W.
it was only after I opened and installed them that I saw that you were not meant to use them on polycarbonate headlights.

I am assuming the Triton will have this type of headlight?

There are always people who know more about cars than the manufacturer then come and ask why the headlight melted

yea once I saw that warning I have taken them out. will be taking them back.

I was just going to get the same wattage but the 100% brighter bulbs but he comes over and says no no you have to up the wattage to get brighter bulbs, he failed to give warn me of the fact they will melt polycarbonate

Yikes. Don't get the lights too powerful for just normal head lamps. . . .
They are way bright to look at even when on dim if you're on a hill.

If you want awesome bright lights on your Triton, then you need spotlights fitted with a separate switch.
