I've just given TM a serve over the Mod Motors twit calling my car ugly in the May Newsletter. Not a biggie - it caused well over 2000 views, but the friggin idiots deserve a serve for it. Getting automated replies, so they're just getting served back with interest. The method in their madness is that I'll probably get sick of it before they do.
This is what I sent them:- I advertise my vehicle on here, and I don't expect some unknowledgeable twit attached to Trade Me, to call it ugly. Its apparent by the context that they don't know a thing about the particular model/make of car.
If you should be stupid enough to asked if I'm not impressed, I can tell you for nothing that I'm not.

I think you're being over sensitive and missing the positive view that it gave you a great free advert. Here's what they said; "Many would say the Mach 1 Mustangs got belted by the ugly stick. Mind you, my wife says the same thing about me. The Mach 1 took the original compact aesthetic and turned it into a GT car. Here's a very well-priced 351 V8 in God's country. " Don't agree it's without knowledge, quite the opposite, many do think it got hit with ugly stick after the svelt clean lines of earlier mustangs. They don't call it ugly. Think your being silly and ungrateful.

i walked down with my brother whom took loads of pictures my van mb140 mercedes-ssangyoung-istana with a what my mate calles a dog box fitted to its back you might have seen it parked up the main road in town. I find taumarunui a pleasent place to live just like whangarei once was , no traffic lights no parking wardens .

So you're saying the 69 Mach1 is ugly tama.
A number of people tell me they think the 71/3 shape is the best. I don't think that, because I like the earlier shapes as well, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you can have yours. Personally, I wouldn't say anything derogatory about anyone else's car. Coz I'm not like that, and proud of it.
I've been pinged by TM for something trivial - they deserve one back if need be.

Yeah - the "dog box" does stand out!
jazz will love you.

lookoutas- Im sorry matey but in this case I agree with what the the fruity one is saying. Ie its a lot of free advertising. THIS is the bit I'd be focussing on Here's a very well-priced 351 V8 in God's country. " some would kill for that kind of exposure of their product
Everyones tastes are different. many will think your car is ugly. equally meny will think is danged sexy.

No I'm not saying it's ugly, please don't be offended by me or TM. Having ugly stick waved at something is not same as saying it is ugly. It means it's not as obviously gorgeous as the previous incarnation. And it's totally personal too. TM didn't say it was ugly and you can find many more comments around general opinion being that it was not as lovely to behold as earlier cars. It's a different beast isn't it. Still a mighty fine toy. Why did you remove all the pics on the advert though?

You got the best free advertsing you could possibly have got. No buyer who likes the shape of the MKI would ever be put off by what he wrote, take it the way it was intended.

Probably not the cleverest way to put his point across but all he's doing is acknowledging that your car isn't to everyones taste (I myself not only agree but I reckon they're THE ugliest Rustang ever made by far) however he reckons its a good deal & highlighted your car to a much wider audience. Anyone who doesn't like them wouldn't click the link anyway, those that do or are 50/50 would be lead to your auction. you should be grateful, not bitching

I used to own a 1971 Mustang Fastback and I thought it was beautiful. If you compare the shape to other early 1970's cars, I think it's one of the least ugly cars of that particular era. Nothing to get upset about is it?

And they can have there's!

Wow, somebodys overly sensitive about their car being ugly.
I doubt many (if any) people read as much into the comments by mods motors as you did!

Who gives a shite what others think of your ride - long as you like it is all that matters ! Dare say be many a web designer that thinks this website is far from attractive.

Don't worry Lookoutas. Just put a few skulls and stuf on it, and it will be pretty.
It's heartening to see there are so many around with good rides.

I don't care what the TM website looks like, it would just be helpful if it actually worked efficiently, which it doesn't for much of the time.
