I have a huge soft spot for totally impractical solutions to problems that never existed in the first place.

Really enjoyed that. Dad that to make up a tow ball for my youngest brother's tricycle so he could tow his trailer when he was little. Fortunately it was really old one and had a square metal frame that made attaching a tow ball easy.
