I came across an auction the other day. it was a vehicle sold by a dealer. now, the vehicle was listed in the text as "Low km's, and in good condition", followed a paragraph later as "this is sold as an end of life vehicle . . . "
Now, to me, I cant see how something can be both 'end of life', AND 'low kms, and in good condition'.
It is sufficient to say that it raised my ire enough to consciously decide to avoid the seller permanently, but I wondered other people's take on this. the vehicle was early 2000's with around 140km on it.
Is the dealer a dodgy dick, or am I being a bit precious?

Its mostly a lame attempt at butt covering, you don't have to wade very far through listings on here to discover that more than a few RMVT's are prepared to mislead buyers re the revised CGA laws. While I don't condone dealers knowingly unloading rubbish onto the public there has to be some outlet for cheap trade ins that are on the face of it still got unused life but might need work to keep them running and road legal, it really needs both parties to be reasonable and upfront about what they are buying and selling. Prior research about the model about what's likely to go wrong with it and getting an idea of how its been treated are as always the best ways to protect yourself.

Came across this blatant attempt to avoid their responsibilities under the CGA. http://www.safewayauto.co.nz/prepurchase.aspx?stockno=2502 They have this DISCLAIMER on all of their vehicles - BUT you need to click on the Pre Purchase Inspection Report to see it.
