I have have been given an old late 1970/s Pioneer P28s chainsaw. It goes well and all it needs is just the air cleaner cover. Any one know where I could get one of these? Just an old second hand one will do. Not ever going to be my main saw but if its here it has to be in good condition.

Could you try a chainsaw shop that actually does repairs or even a lawnmower shop as they sometimes have a selection of old saws or parts

there is a page on facebook dedicated just to pioneer chainsaws. a lot of the guys on it source their parts out of Canada. I have 2, 650s, 1, 620 and a mint running 600. awesome old chainsaws

Try some of the chainsaw shops around/in Waiuku, the Waiuku working mans club wood chopping guys used to all run Pioneer saws years ago.
