heard this guy on radio this morning with paul henry what a complete and utter twat,i mean honestly 80,,,,80,,,,80% I know your name is clive im a twat but come on. best thing you could do is take willie jacksons advise and go in to the bathroom and give yrself a dam good uppercut

pettal, May 12, 7:30pm
but he is an "EPERT"

franc123, May 12, 7:38pm
All the while the news media keep asking him for opinions by golly is he going to keep giving them. It is very hard to figure out why this happens.

xs1100, May 12, 7:38pm
no hes a x pert. but I think we have had enough perts.

tamarillo, May 12, 8:53pm
Somehow he has got himself set up as the go to person for any thing to do with motoring for radio stations. Whatever we think of his book or knowledge of cars, he's a clever bugger to be making a crust like this.

xs1100, May 13, 4:58am
or the tv and newspaper people are idiots and I dear say that's probably closer to the truth and hes probably cheap

poppy62, May 13, 7:09am
I'm surprised he's not on here giving his 'pert advice. Mind you there was a time I thought he was posting under 'pert. JOHN!

3tomany, May 13, 7:40am
Any one of us here could do a better lob as a motoring ex-pert than that idiot

321mat, May 13, 10:16am
In the Dog & Lemon guide he is wrong on many occasions about older cars safety specifications, particularly those from the 1980's.
It's almost as if he's a parrot for the government's attitude of getting all cars less than 5 years old off the road.

And, he supports 91 Octane fuel, when it is scientifically proven that 95 and above burn cooler and cleaner, and produce far less greenhouse gases than 91.

tgray, May 13, 10:50am
When I met him, he was driving a beat up old bomb. How ironic, when he is supposed to be a campaigner for road safety.

seadubya, May 13, 10:53am
Jap powered Oxford panelvan?

franc123, May 13, 10:59am
He isn't the only one wrong about that, ACC's new list of levy bands is even more amusing, well it would be amusing if it wasn't for the fact that some people aren't receiving the discount off license fees that they should be due to vague and inaccurate banding of vehicles, which conflicts with even their default values for a given age of car that's not specifically listed. Some badge engineered cars with same body structure and safety features are even banded differently. But off topic.

piperguy, May 13, 1:40pm
Sounds like BS to me. Please provide proof to back up your statement.

zephyrheaven, May 13, 2:21pm
Hear Hear!

My 2012 Ranger is as dangerous (according to the fee's) as a 1976 Bronco - ha ha, what an age we live in

ema1, May 16, 11:31am
I think that would be more like "SPURT" as that's about all what he says amounts too.

pauldw, May 16, 12:15pm
You all sound as bitter as Dave Moore the Fairfax motoring editor. Without naming names he was on radio having a crack at "soundbite experts". Maybe he feels left out.

socram, May 16, 12:59pm
CMW is a Labour party frontman. Simple to work out why the media goes to him.

ema1, May 16, 5:39pm
In big amounts spurt eventually turns into spout?

franc123, May 16, 5:48pm
I think he might have been, his writings suggest imprisonment in a basement garage in Grey Lynn for ten years and being forced to exclusively work on European cars.

len_f, Jun 11, 11:20am
dog and lemon guide thats what it is in the motor publishing world worthless

beetle1234, Jun 30, 12:03pm
