Give Johnson USA the serial model & # of the engine & they will give you price they have parts for every one made , way cheaper than NZ dealer inc freight & ship it within few days . But before that get the coils tested , any auto sparky can test it for you if its off the motor ,before outlaying $$ , they should be able to be bought separately .

I was looking for parts recently and the regular boat shops in america would have come close to the same prices as here after converting. and that's without freight. which in some cases they were insisting was going to cost $65 yanky. for a small part. The only place that had really cheap parts and would have been worth it was a wholesaler over there that wouldn't ship outside america for some federal security bullshit. They don't want terrorists in runabouts invading america I guess.
Maybe I just didn't find the right place.

Google 'Shipito' It is cheap & easy to open an account there which gives you an USA address and shipping discounts because of the volume they do.

Oh ok thanks Budgel. I'll have a look. I've got other stuff over the years at good prices no trouble and some good deals with freight too. I was surprised about this ban. Terrified americans. Haha.
So what is the issue/problem? Just got a new Stator for our Force. About $400.00 too. Cheap when the flippin thing poohs itself out there.

I dealt with Johnson direct excellent service & parts were 50% cheaper inc freight than qouted by NZ dealer who had to import them anyway .
