Thanks, I was looking for that info. The organisers don't do much to inform affected residents, I have only seen one small A4 sized letter stapled to a stop sign in my area and thats all we have heard.

Stage 1 and 2 are in my neck of the woods, not racing on my road (Hetherington road) this year though.

I will come and have a look if I am not working.

Stage 1 - Is it wise to use a road adjacent to SH1? as a closed stage on a public holiday? Could be like Meremere drag strip before the highway upgrade.

Just finished prepping the 135i.
It's our 20th year racing in the Targa and I still feel like a small kid the day before Xmas when it gets close!
This year has two of my favorite special stages, the unbelievable "Gentle Annie" and Whangamomona which is simply better than sex. (Gawd. if Mrs sr2 reads this I'm toast!).
If you get the chance don't forget to say "hi". I'm the bald old prick (stunningly handsome aquiline features) in the co-drivers seat of the blue APP Beemer.

I will try and catch up when you pass through Hamilton.

First two days under our belt and all is well. The car's running strong and we've settled in for the long haul. First time out on Federal Tyres so still struggling to find a set up but we're starting to pull some good times.

Good stuff SR2, I watched stage 1 on Glen Murray road and remember seeing your car.

Some nice metal in the Targa Tour, the F Type and the GTR were racing each other hard when they came past us, looked to be going quicker than a lot of the race cars.

Running 3rd in category; eating tyres and brakes at an alarming rate, but the car's running like a Swiss watch. The wet & slippery back country Taranaki roads claimed their fair share of victims today but luckily we've emerged unscathed.
Tomorrow afternoon after four morning special stages we take on the Gentle Annie, best described as a sealed goat -track that goes from Taihape to Napier.
