Deaths from drowning stand at 400% of deaths from motor vehicle accidents.
I think we should ban swimming, and all other forms of water-based recreation activities.

Three or four years ago, it was a spate of railway crossing accidents.
Reminds me of years and years ago when Scouts & Guides started doing more joint activities. Scouts just went in the sea and swam. The Guides had to have at least one qualified lifesaver - who wasn't allowed in the water - plus about three miles of rope, a helicopter on standby, flares, and a radio telephone at the ready. (I may have exaggerated just a little.)

fence off the rivers & beaches & home pools no deeper than 500 mm ____ At primary school we were all made to learn to swim &had to do at least a length of the pool . But in todays school its not compulsory .

Must carry P plates and pass a written test before entering the water.
