Saw an all black Mercedes Geländewagen GL300 on SH1 between Porirua and Wgtn. On its spare tyre cover, it appeared to have a mongrel mob type sign. (Same red colour & font, and placement in a circle). On closer inspection, it read "Extradite Kim Dotcom". Probably a way to let people know that "I am not Dotcom! ", and as for the art style, dunno.

This is the last remaining vehicle from the 'Kimdotcon" campaign that ran in the lead up to the election last year- run I think by David Blackmore and Steve Crow. Blackmore had a significant legal run-in with Herr Dotcom over a large collection of personalised plates (plus a number of collectible cars) and in ended up with three M-B GL's in black being purchased and dressed up in "Kimdotcon" slogans and colours. They actually managed to park two of them right outside the Auckland Town Hall during the "Moment Of Truth" fizzer in the weeks before the election itself.
I think two have been sold and that's last one left that you saw.

Should explain it a bit. Good humour if nothing else!
Thanks Westwyn. Nice car though. Without knowing any backstory, I just assumed the owner was using the tyre cover billboard to distance himself from KDC, just in case some saw the car and thought it was Kims. Maybe as insurance against any KDC haters taking it out on the car.
