Just got a new WOF for our diesel vehicle, and then a few days later got a bill from NZTA for our outstanding RUC's LOL.

yea thats since longer i got a threatening letter about it 8 or so years ago for my hilux the letter came 3 days after i got a wof for it about that it was 1500km overdue and i should pay up instantly or else they take the matter further.
The thing was i got this vehicle from a auction and they sayid they pay up the ruc they never did or could not do so, as i also could not do it when i did went in to get it done they said it needs a wof first.
so 2 years later i had it to pass a wof and got that letter instantly after

i then changed rego few years later to farm as i used it to get hay for my cows, then they sent me another letter to pay them 115$ so they could deside if or not i can keep it on farm rego lol.
well i never payd the gusngsters!
i payed the post shop to put it on hold again for 2 year somehow and i think i just put it on hold again my self not long ago.

I'd love to know, how long and how many kms have you gotten away with not paying RUC's? Because I got caught out with a vehicle that had never paid RUCs prior to my ownership way back when the wof system first went computerized.
