Festive Season, piss ups, and measuring BAC

250mcg = 0.05% BAC apparently.

But mcg = micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath

And BAC = the weight of ethanol, measured in grams, in 100 milliliters of blood, or 210 liters of breath.

So go figure?

I assumed from what I read that they asked or intended to ask you on the claim form, to declare if you'd consumed alcohol. Sounded a bit cynical but typical of insurance companies to look for another way to void claims.
Can't confirm personally as I haven't made a claim, but I'll be sure to ask my insurers

The used lifeguard unit listed onTM is the only one I'd trust, the BACtrac ones have good reviews but as I said earlier I would not touch one that can't be easily calibrated (which Sobercheck can do) one of the BACtrac sellers on here when asked about calibration suggests it doesn't need to be done until it starts giving inaccurate readings? Kind of defy's the point of having one because theres only one true way of finding out its inaccurate.
